How a Numero Virtual Number Gets You Verified

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Iraqi entrepreneurs want to sell on Amazon, eBay, and Etsy. The global e-commerce market is accessible, but international marketplaces require phone verification during registration, and Iraqi +964 numbers frequently fail. The verification SMS simply never arrives. Some platforms do not accept Iraqi numbers at all.

Here is where things get worse. When an Iraqi number fails verification, many sellers try a second local number, then a third. Each failed attempt on Amazon can trigger a “related account” suspension loop. The platform flags you as creating duplicate accounts. The root cause is not fraud; it is the specific technical failure of Iraqi mobile networks to receive international verification SMS reliably.

A Numero virtual number from the US, UK, Germany, Canada, or dozens of other supported countries solves this. The verification SMS arrives inside the Numero app. Your seller account is verified on the first attempt. No suspension flags, no repeated failures.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]

Which Platforms This Works For

Platform

Verification Needed

Iraqi Number Accepted?

Numero Virtual Number

Amazon Seller Central (US)

US phone number for US marketplace

Rarely works

Multiple country options available

Amazon Seller Central (EU)

European number for EU marketplaces

Often fails

Multiple country options available

eBay

Phone verification for seller accounts

Often fails to deliver SMS

Multiple country options available

Etsy

SMS confirmation for shop creation

Inconsistent delivery

Multiple country options available

PayPal

Phone verification for account setup

Sometimes accepted

Multiple country options available

The key point here is flexibility. Numero offers virtual numbers from many countries, so you can match the number to the marketplace you are targeting. Selling on Amazon US? Get a US number. Targeting Amazon Germany? A German +49 number makes more sense. Expanding to eBay UK? A British +44 number handles that verification smoothly.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]

Beyond Initial Verification

The virtual number is not a one-time tool. After registration, platforms continue sending security codes, order notifications, and account recovery codes to your verified number. If you let that number expire and lose access, recovering your seller account becomes extremely difficult.

This means keeping your Numero number active matters. It is your ongoing link to every marketplace where you sell. Think of it as your international business phone line, not a throwaway verification trick.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]

Step-by-Step: Get Verified and Start Selling

  1. Download the Numero app and create your account.

  2. Go to Phone Numbers and select a virtual number matching your target marketplace. US for Amazon US, German for Amazon DE, UK for eBay UK, and so on.

  3. Complete the purchase. Your number activates immediately.

  4. Open Amazon Seller Central, eBay, or Etsy and begin registration.

  5. When prompted for a phone number, enter your Numero number with the correct country code.

  6. The verification SMS arrives in your Numero app inbox. Enter the code.

  7. Your account is verified. Start listing products.

For sellers who want to try Numero before committing financially, the Free Coins Center lets you earn a US number at no cost, a risk-free way to test the verification process.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]

The Bigger Picture for Iraqi Sellers

Many Iraqis already sell digital products, handmade goods, and electronics through intermediaries who take a cut. A direct seller account removes the middleman. The only barrier was verification, and that barrier is now gone.

You can also use your Numero number for a WhatsApp Business account to communicate with international buyers directly. Professional messaging, separate from personal WhatsApp, builds trust with customers who expect a responsive seller. For those who want to manage multiple marketplace numbers from a single app, Numero supports several active numbers at once, each with its own SMS inbox and call history.

And for a broader approach to protecting your personal number while building an online business, a dedicated virtual number is the foundation.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]

    Frequently Asked Questions

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_toggle title=”Will a Numero number definitely work for Amazon Seller Central?” css=””]Numero numbers receive standard SMS verification codes. US numbers have the highest acceptance rates for the US marketplace, and European numbers work well for EU marketplaces. Always confirm the number type supports SMS before purchase.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What happens if I let my Numero number expire?” css=””]You lose the ability to receive account recovery codes and security alerts from the platforms linked to that number. For active seller accounts, keeping the number renewed is essential.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Can I use one number for multiple platforms?” css=””]Yes. A single Numero number can be used across Amazon, eBay, Etsy, PayPal, and other platforms. If you prefer separate numbers per platform for organisation, Numero supports that too.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Which country number should I choose?” css=””]Match the number to your target marketplace. US number for Amazon US, German number for Amazon DE, UK number for eBay UK. If you sell across multiple regions, consider numbers from each relevant country.[/vc_toggle][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]

    Your Marketplace Access Starts Here

Iraqi sellers have the products and the drive. The only thing missing was a verified phone number. Numero’s virtual numbers remove that barrier in minutes. No intermediaries, no failed SMS, no suspension loops. And for influencers and creators who also need to shield their personal numbers, the same approach applies.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
