We have been following up on your complaints that new subscriptions and current subscription renewal payments are not going through in the app store.
Well, we found out that the issue is related to policy changes in Google Play store to cope with changes in Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations concerning credit and debit cards payments.
These temporary policy changes mean:
1. “Automatic payment” option will be temporarily unavailable for new subscriptions until further notice.
2. Existing manual payment customers will not be able to switch to the automatic payment option until further notice.
3. Existing automatic payment customers who choose to switch to manual payment option will not be able to switch back to automatic payment option until further notice.”
Our Solution:
Until Google Play resolves this issue, we suggest you purchase credit and use it to buy products or renew your current subscriptions since the issue does not hinder using your credit/debit card to buy consumables.
