Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose of this Policy

Numero eSIM provides virtual phone numbers, eSIM data plans and calling services for lawful personal and business communication. This Acceptable Use Policy explains what our services may and may not be used for. It applies to every Numero number and every account, in every country we operate in, and forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

Permitted Use

Numero numbers are real phone numbers intended for genuine person-to-person and business communication. Typical permitted uses include:

  • Keeping a local presence in another country or market for personal or business reasons.
  • Separating work and personal calls and messages on a single device.
  • Staying reachable on a familiar number while travelling or living abroad.
  • Receiving calls and text messages sent to you by people and organisations you deal with.
  • Running legitimate business communication with customers who expect to hear from you.

Prohibited Uses

You must not use a Numero number or any Numero service for any of the following. This list is not exhaustive, and we may treat other conduct as a breach where it is unlawful or harmful:

  • Fraud, deception, or any attempt to obtain money, credentials, personal data or property under false pretences.
  • Impersonating another person, business, or organisation, or otherwise misrepresenting your identity or your affiliation with anyone.
  • Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, mass automated dialling, or any high-volume messaging or calling that is not directed at genuine individual recipients.
  • Evading, bypassing, or defeating the identity verification systems, account-security controls, or terms of use of any third-party platform or service.
  • Opening, registering, or accessing an account in another person's name, or without that person's knowledge and authorisation.
  • Harassment, threats, abuse, or any contact intended to intimidate or distress another person.
  • Distributing malware, phishing links, or any content designed to compromise another person's device, accounts or data.
  • Resale or redistribution of Numero numbers to third parties for any of the purposes listed above.
  • Any other use that is unlawful under the laws that apply to you, or under the laws of the country the number is issued from.

Enforcement and Termination

We act on reports of misuse from users, platform partners, carriers and regulators, and on misuse we detect ourselves. Where we determine that a number or account has been used in breach of this Policy, we may take any of the following steps, with or without prior notice:

  • Suspend the number or the account while we investigate.
  • Permanently terminate the number and any associated services, without refund of amounts already paid.
  • Withhold or reclaim a number so that it cannot be reassigned to the same user.
  • Disclose relevant account and usage information to law enforcement, regulators, or an affected platform where we are required or legally permitted to do so.

Reporting Misuse

If you believe a Numero number is being used in breach of this Policy — including to impersonate you, to contact you without your consent, or to attempt fraud — report it to us at [email protected]. Please include the number involved and any relevant dates, messages or call records so that we can investigate quickly.

Relationship to our Terms and Conditions

This Policy supplements and forms part of the agreement between you and Smarteletec S.L. covering your use of Numero eSIM services. Where this Policy and our Terms and Conditions address the same conduct, both apply. For the full agreement, including billing, liability and account terms, see our Terms and Conditions.

By purchasing or using a Numero number or any other Numero eSIM service, you confirm that you have read this Acceptable Use Policy and that you will use our services only for the lawful purposes described above.
