Holafly sells travel data eSIMs in 200+ destinations, and its own page states that its eSIM cannot make calls, send SMS or receive SMS. Numero eSIM sells data, calling minutes and a real phone number on one eSIM in 188 countries, from €16.00 for 20 GB over 30 days.
Holafly is a data product and says so plainly. Its page reads “it is not possible to make calls, send SMS, or receive SMS”; a local number may be assigned to the line, but nothing reaches it. For a week of maps and messaging apps that is no problem. It becomes one when a bank, a taxi app or a hotel needs to reach a number, and that is where Numero eSIM's full eSIM comes in.
Can you make calls or receive texts on a Holafly eSIM?
No. Holafly's page says so: not possible to make calls, send SMS or receive SMS. Numero eSIM's full eSIM is a working line in 188 countries and 2 regions, with data, calling minutes and a real number on it.
Will a verification code reach you?
A bank SMS, a ride-hailing code or a delivery driver's call needs a number that receives, and Holafly has published that its eSIM cannot do that. Numero eSIM's full eSIM carries a real number that receives SMS and calls, and its standalone numbers list WhatsApp support country by country.
What else is on the same account?
Holafly sells travel data. Numero eSIM sells numbers in 39 countries, a data eSIM in 181, the full eSIM in 188, and 19 calling plans, so the trip, the number and the minutes home sit in one place.
