How does an eSIM work?

After you buy a plan, Numero sends you a QR code and manual setup details. You install the eSIM profile on your phone, turn on data roaming for that line when you land, and the eSIM connects to a partner network automatically. Your original SIM stays in place, so you can keep your home number active for calls and SMS.

Can I switch between my physical SIM and eSIM?

Yes. Most modern phones let you keep both lines active and choose which one is used for data, calls, and SMS. You can use your physical SIM for your home number and your Numero eSIM for mobile internet at your destination.

What if my QR code is not working?

Make sure your phone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network and that the camera is reading the full QR code clearly. If it still does not work, you can install the eSIM manually using the activation details in your Numero account. Our support team is available 24/7 if you need help.

Does the Data eSIM include a phone number?

No. The Data eSIM is a data-only plan. If you also need a local phone number for calls, SMS, or app verification, Numero offers a Full eSIM bundle that combines data, a number, and calling minutes on a single eSIM.

Can I use hotspot with my Data eSIM?

Hotspot support depends on the partner operator, but most Numero data plans allow tethering, so you can share the connection with a laptop, tablet, or another phone.

Can I buy multiple data plans?

Absolutely. You can purchase separate plans for different destinations and switch between them as needed.

How To Install eSIM Data

iOS Devices

Scan the QR code by printing it out or displaying the code on another device to install your eSIM,

Make sure your device has a stable internet connection before installing.

1. Go to "Settings".

2. Tap "Cellular" or "Mobile Data".

3. Tap "Add eSIM".

4. Tap "Use QR Code".

5. Scan the QR code.

6. The eSIM Activation screen will popup on your iPhone.

7. Tap "Continue" twice and wait for your eSIM to connect.

8. Tap "Done" when completed.

9. Label your eSIM:

from the suggested labels.

or create a new label.

10. Tap "Continue".

11. Select your primary line for calls and text and tap "Continue".

12. Select your primary line for iMessage and FaceTime and tap "Continue".

13. Select you new eSIM from Numero for cellular data.

14. Toggle "Allow Cellular Data Switching" off.

15. Tap "Continue".

2. Tap on “Add Cellular Plan”.

3. Label the eSIM.

4. Choose preferred default line to call or send messages

5. Choose the preferred line to use with iMessage, FaceTime, and Apple ID.

6. Choose the eSIM plan as your default line for Cellular Data and do not turn on “Allow Cellular Data Switching” to prevent charges on your other line.
